The Centre for International Economics (CIE) is a research firm and is conducting this survey to evaluate the Personal Hardship Assistance Grant program on behalf of the NSW Reconstruction Authority. We would like to understand how this financial support helped households affected by recent disasters.
Your responses are confidential and will only be used for research purposes to evaluate and improve the Personal Hardship Assistance Grants. No identifying information will be published.
We understand that events like this can be distressing, traumatic and deeply personal. Some of the questions may ask you to reflect on your experiences and the impacts on you, your household or your community.
Your participation is entirely voluntary. You may choose to leave the survey at any time. If at any point you feel uncomfortable, you are free to discontinue. Your decision to participate in this evaluation, and any feedback you provide, will not affect your current or future access to government services or programs.

Your responses will be stored securely and used only for this evaluation. We may share summary findings in reports, but individual responses will remain confidential and will not be shared with the NSW Reconstruction Authority. You may withdraw at any time by closing the survey.
This survey will take about 15 minutes to complete. At the end, you can choose whether to provide your contact details if you are interested in taking part in a one to one interview. This is completely optional and your decision will not affect any services you receive.
