  1. The following terms and conditions apply to the “Western Australian Building Regulation Online Survey Prize Draw” (Prize Draw). By submitting an online questionnaire, entrants warrant that they have read, understand and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

  2. The Prize Draw is being administered by the International Economics Pty Ltd (ACN 008621298) as trustee for International Economics Unit Trust trading as the Centre for International Economics (‘The CIE’), ABN 11 705 723 812 on behalf of The Department of Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety (the Promoter).

  3. To be eligible to enter and win a $500 Coles Group & Myer gift card, entrants must be a practitioner in the Western Australian building and construction industry, complete and submit one (1) online questionnaire, comprising up to forty-six (46) questions, and provide contact details for the purpose of the prize draw. A link to the questionnaire will be sent by email by the Promoter to persons who have provided their email address to the Promoter. The link may also be distributed by industry associations.

  4. The Prize winner/s must be aged 18 years or over at the time of the Prize Draw in order to be eligible to win the Prize.

  5. Entrants who have completed and submitted the questionnaire will be entered once into the Prize Draw. The online questionnaire must be fully completed and submitted between 8:00 am AWST 2 December 2021 and the survey close date. The survey close date will be 5:00 pm AWST 15 December 2021 or, if fewer than one hundred (100) completed questionnaires have been submitted by 15 December 2021, a date no later than 14 January 2022 determined by the Promoter. Incomplete questionnaires cannot be submitted and will not be entered into the Prize Draw.

  6. The prize consists of a Coles Group & Myer gift card worth $500. (Prize)

  7. The gift card will be posted to the named Prize winner via registered post within two days of the Prize being claimed.

  8. The Prize draw will involve the generation of a random number by computer for each entry. The prize will be awarded to the respondent with the lowest number.

  9. The winner will be drawn four (4) business days after the survey close date at 10 am AEDT at the CIE offices, 11 Lancaster Place, Canberra Airport ACT.

  10. The Prize winner will be notified within three (3) days of the draw via the email address or phone number provided by the entrant in the questionnaire. The email or phone call will provide The CIE’s contact details for winners to claim their Prize.

  11. In the case of an ineligible entrant being drawn as the winner, a redraw will take place immediately.

  12. Except as expressly provided by these terms and conditions, the Prize is not transferable, not exchangeable and cannot be redeemed as cash.

  13. The Promoter takes no responsibility for Prizes damaged or lost in transit, or late, lost or misdirected mail.

  14. In the event that a Prize is unclaimed, a redraw will take place twenty-eight (28) business days after the draw at 10 am AEDT at the CIE offices, 11 Lancaster Place, Canberra Airport ACT.

  15. The CIE collects entrants’ personal information in order to conduct the Prize Draw. If the information requested is not provided, the entrant may not participate in the Prize Draw. Any personal information collected will be treated in accordance with the CIE Privacy Policy available here.

  16. The CIE will not use this personal information in any way, other than for the purposes of this Prize Draw, except where consent has been given.

  17. Entrants consent to the Promoter using the entrant’s name, likeness, image in the event they are a winner (including photograph) in any media without remuneration for the purpose of promoting this Prize Draw (including any outcome).

  18. The CIE may in its sole discretion, disqualify all entries from, and prohibit further participation in the Prize Draw by any person who tampers with or benefits from any tampering with the entry process or with the operation of the Prize Draw or aids in violation of these terms and conditions, acts in a disruptive manner or acts with the intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person.

  19. The CIE does not accept responsibility for late, lost, misdirected entries or entries sent but not received by The CIE. The CIE's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

  20. If for any reason any aspect of this Prize Draw is not capable of running as planned, including by reason of computer virus, communications network failure, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failure or any other reason beyond the control of The CIE, The CIE may in its sole discretion, cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Prize Draw, or invalidate any affected entries.

  21. The CIE is not liable for any loss suffered or sustained in connection with the Prize, except for liability which cannot be excluded by law.

  22. All amounts include GST unless otherwise stated.

  23. The CIE does not accept responsibility for any tax implications that may arise from the Prize winnings.

  24. Entries not fully complying with these terms and conditions of entry may be deemed invalid at The CIE’s discretion.

  25. Employees of The CIE and the Promoter are ineligible to enter the Prize Draw.
