Suryo is an economist with experience working within the science, technology and innovation sector, leveraging his economics and econometrics skills to deliver evidence-based outcomes for government and industry clients.

He has worked on various policy and funding issues, authoring market research reports across diverse technological domains (like AI, quantum, ag-tech, critical minerals and antimicrobial resistance) while analysing research outputs, deal flow and intellectual property data. Suryo utilises his skills in Excel and Tableau to translate complex economic findings into data visualisations that make technical findings accessible to a diverse set of stakeholders. Utilising his qualitative research expertise, he has facilitated surveys, solution-focused workshops and roundtables to create policy recommendations that help guide STEM education, innovation and renewable energy policy.

Suryo holds a Master of Applied Economics degree from the ANU along with an undergraduate honours degree in economics from Symbiosis International University. He has also completed certifications on Climate Disaster Solutions from the ANU and economic development from the University of Oxford.
