Yunshi is a research economist with experience in the consulting and banking industries. She has conducted cost-benefit analysis, regulatory impact statements, and program evaluations. Her projects have covered agriculture, social services, and research and development.

Yunshi holds a Bachelor of Criminology and a Master of Behavioural Economics from the University of Technology. She specialised in the applications of AI in the criminal justice system and developing human-centred AI.
