Review of the 2021-22 ACT Budget

This report critically evaluates the ACT Government’s 2021-22 Budget on behalf of the ACT Standing Committee on Public Accounts, Legislative Assembly for the Australian Capital Territory. Core tasks include:

  • forecasting and modelling of economic and financial trends and outlooks

  • student overseas migration modelling to the ACT

  • specialist economic analysis across a wide range of policy areas including evaluations of government funded programs, taxation policies and service planning frameworks

  • assessment of reducing JobKeeper and COVID-19 Disaster Payments in the ACT context

  • evaluation and cost effectiveness analysis of infrastructure and capital works projects, and

  • socioeconomic evaluation of social, environmental, health and community impacts of government policy
