Yuyang He is a Senior Economist with experience across a diverse range of sectors, including international trade analysis, fuel efficiency, and emerging technologies and commodities, as well as policy analysis in building, public health, education, and labour markets.
Yuyang has extensive experience undertaking impact evaluations, particularly using cost-benefit analysis, for major policy interventions and research investments. Her work has covered regulatory reform, climate adaptation, public health, market and industry impacts, supply chain and data standards, and research and development across areas including advanced technologies, biosecurity, environmental management, and animal health. She is skilled in managing and analysing large, complex datasets to support robust quantitative analysis and deliver evidence-based insights.
She also has experience developing forecasting models that combine statistical analysis with behavioural insights to support evidence-based planning and decision-making. Her recent work includes refining enrolment forecasting models, incorporating demographic and behavioural inputs to analyse school choice and support forecasting, and reviewing best-practice methods for long-term infrastructure and service demand forecasting.
Yuyang holds a Master of Economic Policy and a Bachelor of Economics from the Australian National University.
