This paper discusses the challenges and opportunities for Australian businesses considering the economic impact of COVID-19 and subsequent government stimulus.

The paper begins with an analysis of the Australian macroeconomic landscape post COVID-19, with a focus on GDP/output, employment, investment, consumption and government expenditure. This is followed by an evaluation of the different sectors of the economy and the unique challenges they face in the “new normal” paradigm.
