Ben is a specialist in stated preference research, including choice modelling surveys, which he uses to help governments and businesses understand the value people place on potential new products and services or changes in environmental outcomes and public services. He also specialises in applying this research to economic cost-benefit analysis, distributional analysis, and demand forecasting to provide decision makers with a rich understanding of the impacts of options and strategies.

Ben has advised clients across a wide range of industries and sectors, including water, energy, waste, urban development, construction, automotive, and the environment.

Ben holds a PhD and a Bachelor of Economics with First Class Honours from the Australian National University.
