Flood Mitigation Options for Wagga Wagga

The CIE has completed a wide-ranging and comprehensive analysis of the various flood mitigation options for North Wagga that were recommended as part of the 2018 Murrumbidgee River Floodplain Risk Management Study and Plan. A Cost Benefit Analysis (CBA) framework was adopted to evaluate the infrastructure levee options, as well as, voluntary house purchase and voluntary house raising options.

The CIE’s team for the project also included:

  • WMA Water who specialize in hydrological and hydraulic studies of waterways and floodplains, and the development of long term strategies and designs for management of flood and water resource risks.
